May is typically the time when experiences end. Graduation means saying good-bye to high school and college friends, leaving behind teachers who had your best interest in mind, and your carefree days. But there is another way of approaching May and all it brings...the month of transition to opportunity. Think of May as the month where you begin the rest of your life...a new, exciting phase that will lead to you living your dreams. Attitude and perspective is everything. Make sure you keep both positive!

This is our sixth year offering a college scholarship!! Please email info@ysfi.org for the Gwendolyn V. Waite College Scholarship, which helps students who have overcome obstacles, or the Future Trailblazers of America Award, which helps students who plan to create and innovate in their chosen field. $1,000 scholarship award!!! Who We Are
The Youth Survivors Foundation was incorporated in the state of Florida on July 27, 2004, by Shaheewa T. Jarrett, Esq., to (1) ensure competent legal representation for youth from historically disadvantaged racial groups, (2) aid in the realization of the 1954 Supreme Court decision in Brown vs. Board of Education by providing educational and financial support to historically disadvantaged racial groups, and (3) preserve and ensure the healthy survival of youth from disadvantaged racial groups by teaching life skills and promoting cultural awareness.
